Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology, X-ray machines, and physical inspection methods.
- Identify prohibited items, weapons, and dangerous materials while maintaining strict attention to detail.
- Perform irregular bag screening and manual searches as directed by security protocols and supervisors.
- Adhere to all TSA regulations, security directives, and agency policies to ensure a secure environment.
- Respond to security incidents or emergencies calmly and effectively, following established emergency procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, explaining security procedures clearly and professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized screening area, ensuring equipment is functioning correctly.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong visual acuity and the ability to distinguish between similar objects on X-ray monitors.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
