Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious activities, and potential security threats
- Maintain orderly passenger flow while ensuring efficient security checkpoint operations
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate screening procedures clearly to travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and calmly
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred for El Paso market)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
