Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger information
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while maintaining security standards
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities according to TSA protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate screening logs and reports for regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn TSA screening technology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
