Responsibilities
- Operate Screening Equipment: Monitor and operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems to identify prohibited items.
- Passenger Screening: Conduct thorough searches of passengers, carry-on baggage, and personal effects in a professional and courteous manner.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with questions, resolve screening issues efficiently, and maintain a welcoming environment.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to security breaches, alarms, or emergency situations as per TSA protocols.
- Documentation: Complete all required reports, logs, and screening documentation accurately and on time.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a diverse team to maintain high security standards.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is typically required.
- Legal Status: No felony convictions or outstanding warrants.
