Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items and threats to aviation security.
- Perform advanced security screening techniques, including metal detection, body scanning, and physical pat-downs, in strict adherence to TSA protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor, even in high-volume situations.
- Operate security screening equipment, such as X-ray machines and CT scanners, and interpret technical images to identify threats.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and federal partners to ensure the safety of the airport environment.
- Complete required training programs and maintain currency in security regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a background investigation, including criminal history, fingerprinting, and drug screening.
- Medical Fitness: Must meet specific medical and physical requirements, including eyesight and hearing standards.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
- Behavior: No felony convictions, dishonorable military discharge, or domestic violence restraining orders.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
