Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage at security checkpoints using advanced technology
- Conduct thorough physical searches and X-ray image analysis
- Operate metal detectors, CT scanners, and explosive detection systems
- Enforce TSA security protocols and communicate procedures to travelers
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious items with appropriate protocols
- Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents and screenings
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergencies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic English proficiency for communication and documentation
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and medical assessment
- No prior felony convictions (exceptions may apply)
