Responsibilities
- Perform screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and property using advanced imaging technology and X-ray machines.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve prohibited items to prevent them from entering secure areas of the airport.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public, including passengers with disabilities and special needs.
- Enforce security directives, regulations, and procedures in a consistent and fair manner.
- Monitor security equipment and alert supervisors of any irregularities or system malfunctions.
- Maintain a high standard of appearance and grooming in compliance with TSA uniform policies.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and medical exam.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
