Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for threats using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security equipment.
- Enforce federal security regulations and procedures to prevent unauthorized items from entering secure areas.
- Interact professionally and courteously with travelers while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.
- Document irregularities and report security breaches or suspicious activities immediately.
- Perform irregular and random screening of passengers and baggage to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screen, and medical screening.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to operate security screening equipment.
