What You'll Do:
As a TSA Screener, you will be responsible for the screening of passengers, their carry-on baggage, and their personal property at checkpoints. Your role is to prevent weapons and dangerous items from entering secure areas of the transportation system.
Responsibilities
- Operate advanced screening equipment, including X-ray machines and imaging technology, to detect prohibited items.
- Patrol checkpoints and screening lanes to ensure compliance with TSA security directives.
- Provide clear, calm, and professional instructions to travelers regarding screening procedures.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in baggage manifests and passenger screening.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient flow of passengers through security checkpoints.
- Remain alert and attentive to potential security threats or anomalies.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and security clearance.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull heavy luggage carts.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
