Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Patrol checkpoints and enforce security procedures in accordance with federal regulations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public to resolve security concerns.
- Identify and respond to potential security threats or suspicious behavior immediately.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to maintain efficient flow through security checkpoints.
- Perform irregular baggage screening and spot checks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Background Check: Must pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 45 lbs, and pass a medical exam.
- Legal Status: Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
