Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced detection equipment
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive trace detection systems
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professional customer service standards
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious activities, and security threats
- Assist travelers with screening procedures and resolve routine inquiries
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Participate in mandatory training programs and security drills
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Proficient in English communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn security technologies
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license may be required for certain assignments
