Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate advanced imaging technology and walk-through metal detectors to identify threats and prohibited items on passengers and their carry-on luggage.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional demeanor in high-pressure environments.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict TSA security protocols and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety and compliance.
- Patrol and Observation: Monitor security checkpoints and terminal areas to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including screening reports and incident logs.
- Physical Screening: Perform physical searches of individuals and property when technology screening is inconclusive or required.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
