Responsibilities
- Monitor X-ray equipment and perform manual screening of carry-on luggage and personal items.
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches of passengers to detect prohibited items and potential threats.
- Enforce TSA security regulations, policies, and procedures in a professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with passengers to explain security procedures and resolve concerns calmly.
- Document screening incidents, discrepancies, and any anomalies accurately.
- Maintain a high standard of physical fitness and be prepared to handle emergency situations.
- Collaborate with fellow security officers to maintain a safe and efficient checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (per federal requirements).
- Must successfully complete a background investigation, including fingerprinting, drug screening, and medical evaluation.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to pass a medical examination demonstrating physical fitness and the ability to perform essential job functions.
