Responsibilities
- Patrol & Monitoring: Conduct routine security patrols of the facility and grounds to ensure the safety of personnel and assets, including monitoring closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.
- Access Control: Verify the identity of visitors, employees, and vendors, issuing badges and maintaining accurate access logs for all entrants and exits.
- Incident Response: Respond immediately to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and medical incidents following established emergency response protocols.
- Report Writing: Compile detailed incident reports and logs daily, documenting observations, irregularities, and any security breaches.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist in conducting fire drills and emergency preparedness exercises to ensure facility readiness.
- Customer Service: Provide professional and courteous assistance to employees and visitors, answering inquiries and directing traffic as necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of security experience, preferably in a government or high-security facility environment.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid and current Security Officer License (Level II or III preferred) and a valid driver's license.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends as required by the contract.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to perform physical security measures.
