Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using state-of-the-art X-ray and CT equipment.
- Identify and resolve potential security threats or prohibited items in strict accordance with federal regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional and calm demeanor under pressure.
- Perform pat-down searches and administer alternative screening procedures as required by security protocols.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, emergencies, and unruly passenger situations.
- Collaborate with fellow officers and supervisors to maintain a secure, efficient, and organized checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must successfully pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screening.
- Ability to pass the TSA Transportation Security Officer Assessment (TSOA).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet the physical requirements, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
