Responsibilities
- Screen Operations: Conduct security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and physical inspection methods.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor screening equipment to detect prohibited items and ensure strict adherence to TSA security protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact with the public with courtesy and professionalism, explaining screening procedures clearly to travelers.
- Documentation: Accurately document screening activities, findings, and incidents in security logs and reporting systems.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow security officers to maintain situational awareness and a secure checkpoint environment.
- Compliance: Maintain a high level of physical fitness and adhere to all TSA safety and health regulations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a federal background investigation, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Availability: Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Ability: Good physical health with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
