Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray technology and metal detectors.
- Perform comprehensive pat-down searches and body scans to ensure safety compliance.
- Assist travelers with accessibility needs and provide exceptional customer service in a high-pressure environment.
- Operate and monitor security screening equipment to detect threats or anomalies.
- Collaborate with fellow screeners and law enforcement personnel to maintain a secure facility.
- Adhere to all TSA security protocols, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete necessary documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and medical assessment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
