What You Will Do:
As a TSA Security Screener, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of the nation's transportation systems. Your duties will include operating screening equipment, interacting with passengers, and maintaining a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for explosives and prohibited items using X-ray machines and hand-wand equipment.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures strictly to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Identify, resolve, and document security violations or irregularities immediately.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
- Assist in the processing of travelers to ensure efficient flow through checkpoints.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and medical screening.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Good vision, with or without corrective lenses, and the ability to distinguish colors.
