Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment to inspect passengers, baggage, and cargo
- Conduct physical searches of individuals and property to detect prohibited items or threats
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Maintain security checkpoints in compliance with TSA regulations and SOPs
- Report suspicious activities, security breaches, or potential threats to supervisors
- Provide clear communication and assistance to travelers regarding security procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Complete required documentation and training programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
