Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and efficient security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Identify prohibited items and potential security threats while maintaining a high standard of customer service for travelers.
- Operate security screening equipment, including metal detectors, body scanners, and explosive trace detection machines.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities, ensuring a respectful and accessible screening experience.
- Document screening results and incidents accurately and maintain strict adherence to TSA protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a safe and secure airport environment.
- Stay updated on security procedures, emergency response protocols, and changes in federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen, and successfully complete a medical examination.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as airport operations run 24/7.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job.
- No felony convictions or pending criminal charges.
