Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual search techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or anomalies
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and trace detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols and communicate procedures to travelers
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Conduct pat-down searches as required by security protocols
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid US driver's license (if operating agency vehicles)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
