Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using X-ray machines and manual search techniques
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Conduct pat-down searches and bag inspections as required by security protocols
- Monitor checkpoint activity and report suspicious behavior or security breaches
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Basic English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or disqualifying employment history
