Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment and explosive trace detection systems to identify prohibited items in carry-on luggage and cargo.
- Passenger Inspection: Conduct thorough pat-downs and physical inspections of passengers and their belongings while maintaining professionalism and respect.
- Security Protocols: Adhere strictly to all TSA security regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
- Emergency Response: Remain vigilant and ready to respond immediately to security breaches or emergency situations.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and logs accurately regarding screening activities and equipment status.
- Physical Fitness: Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a federal background check and security clearance process.
- Medical: Must meet specific medical and physical fitness standards (including color vision and hearing requirements).
- License: Valid driver's license is preferred.
