Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray technology and metal detectors
- Conduct physical pat-down searches when required
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes
- Monitor security checkpoints for suspicious activity
- Operate advanced screening equipment (CT scanners, ETDs)
- Enforce TSA security protocols and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers
- Document security incidents and report irregularities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Valid state driver's license
- Fluency in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
