Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using X-ray machines and manual detection methods
- Conduct thorough security checks to detect prohibited items and threats
- Maintain security checkpoints following TSA protocols and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel as needed
- Stay current on TSA policies and security threats
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Pass a medical examination and meet physical requirements
