Responsibilities
- Operate Screening Equipment: Monitor X-ray machines and Advanced Imaging Technology to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Screening: Conduct thorough screenings of passengers and property to ensure compliance with security directives and regulations.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers by answering questions, resolving concerns, and maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure.
- Security Enforcement: Identify and report security threats, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of screening equipment and workstations to ensure operational readiness.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and maintain strict adherence to security protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Background Check: Must be willing and able to pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and fingerprinting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift. Must pass a medical exam.
- Drug Testing: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to a drug-free workplace policy.
- Availability: Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
