Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening at JAX security checkpoints using advanced detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining courteous customer service interactions
- Identify and report prohibited items, suspicious behavior, and potential security threats
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Participate in remote security training and policy updates via virtual platforms
- Assist with administrative duties (e.g., report writing, inventory management) from remote locations when assigned
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in using electronic security screening equipment
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable with remote work technology for administrative tasks
