Responsibilities
- Operate Screening Equipment: Monitor X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Screening: Perform pat-downs and body scans in a respectful, professional manner, ensuring compliance with federal security regulations.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with questions, resolve concerns, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere within the secure screening area.
- Threat Detection: Identify potential security breaches, weapons, or explosives and take immediate action to neutralize threats.
- Security Protocols: Enforce airport access control and security procedures to maintain the integrity of the secure area.
- Flexibility: Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, Lawful Permanent Resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and a drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
