Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Verify passenger identification and travel documents against boarding passes
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activities or items
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining strict security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities and security breaches
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic computer proficiency for checkpoint systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or outstanding warrants
