Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using X-ray scanners and manual inspection techniques
- Operate advanced security equipment including CT scanners, trace detection systems, and ETD devices
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections according to TSA protocols
- Document security incidents and suspicious activity reports with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
- Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness in high-traffic environments
- Participate in mandatory security drills and continuous training programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass rigorous background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or certain misdemeanor offenses
