Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate TSA security equipment and respond to alarms or suspicious items
- Document security incidents and report suspicious activities to supervisory personnel
- Maintain compliance with TSA policies, SOPs, and federal regulations
- Provide excellent customer service to diverse travelers while enforcing security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport partners during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Valid state driver's license (if operating agency vehicles)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills
