Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA) across DHS infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified and unclassified systems
- Lead incident response protocols for security breaches and cyber threats
- Develop security policies and procedures aligned with federal regulations
- Maintain and audit identity management systems for 500+ federal users
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on national security initiatives
- Train personnel on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with federal IT security protocols
- Certification in CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and encryption technologies
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure during national emergencies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation
