Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols for federal networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified infrastructure
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools and respond to incidents within SLA
- Develop and update security documentation in compliance with NIST/FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Lead incident response activities during security breaches
- Train federal staff on security best practices and protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security or DoD/DHS environment
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification (CEH/GHIA highly desirable)
- Proficiency in NIST frameworks, FISMA compliance, and zero-trust architecture
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document complex technical procedures
