Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations
- Develop persuasive grant proposals and reports aligned with funder priorities
- Manage relationships with program staff to gather compelling project narratives
- Maintain accurate grant calendars and compliance documentation
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Collaborate with finance team to develop realistic project budgets
- Represent organization at funder meetings and site visits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with 501(c)(3) organizations
- Proven track record of securing $500K+ annually in grant funding
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio of successful proposals
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and grant databases
- Deep understanding of Portland's philanthropic landscape
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
