Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain federal IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of systems.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure strict adherence to federal regulations and standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for remote staff and agency stakeholders efficiently.
- Audits & Reporting: Conduct regular system audits, prepare technical reports, and maintain detailed documentation of all processes.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure hardware and software compatibility.
- Training: Provide technical training and support to junior staff and end-users on new systems and security procedures.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal contracting, government IT, or systems administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network security, cloud computing (AWS/Azure), and virtualization technologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
