Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee and coordinate complex county projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and professional updates on project status.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure all departmental operations and project deliverables comply with local, state, and federal government regulations.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare detailed reports, and manage the filing of necessary government documentation.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on public service excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in county, state, or municipal government; or equivalent experience in a high-level corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint) and government-specific software platforms.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of California public sector procurement and compliance standards.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving critical operational issues efficiently.
