Responsibilities
- Calculate and process federal pension benefits for eligible employees and retirees with precision and timeliness.
- Ensure strict adherence to FERS (Federal Employees Retirement System) and CSRS (Civil Service Retirement System) guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits of pension records to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Provide expert guidance and support to employees regarding retirement eligibility and benefit calculations.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to update pension policy documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal legislative changes affecting retirement plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in federal payroll, pension administration, or actuarial science.
- Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized pension administration software.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex pension concepts to non-technical staff.
