Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations and policies.
- Prepare detailed reports, memos, and presentations for city council meetings and executive leadership.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements for government programs.
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate inter-agency communication and project collaboration.
- Manage and maintain sensitive public records with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for city growth.
- Respond to inquiries from citizens and stakeholders regarding government services and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of California state labor laws, procurement policies, and administrative procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with government database systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
