Responsibilities
- Monitor federal, state, and local regulatory changes affecting municipal operations
- Conduct compliance audits for city departments (finance, procurement, public works)
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for 200+ employees
- Prepare detailed regulatory reports for City Council and state agencies
- Collaborate with legal team on policy updates and risk mitigation
- Lead cross-departmental compliance task forces
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 5+ years regulatory compliance experience in government or public sector
- Valid North Carolina government security clearance
- Proficiency with compliance software (e.g., ComplySci, LogicGate)
- Strong knowledge of NC General Statutes and federal regulations
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Project management certification (PMP or CPCM) preferred
