Responsibilities
- Monitor federal, state, and local regulatory changes affecting county operations
- Conduct compliance audits and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for county staff
- Collaborate with department heads to resolve compliance violations
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation and digital records
- Represent the county in regulatory hearings and communications
- Lead cross-departmental compliance improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of government or public sector compliance experience
- Strong knowledge of NC state and federal regulations
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in regulatory tracking software
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision
- Valid NC driver's license required
