Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the city's internal network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime for critical services.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and citizen records from unauthorized access.
- Configure and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and peripherals for government staff across multiple departments.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize software and hardware efficiency.
- Respond to and resolve IT tickets and service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent government functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new software solutions and digital initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT systems administration or a related technical field.
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with government compliance standards and data privacy regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various municipal buildings within the city.
