Responsibilities
- Sort and deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along a prescribed route.
- Obtain signatures and collect payments for COD (Cash on Delivery) packages.
- Operate and maintain various mail processing equipment, including the Flat Sorting Machine (FSM).
- Answer questions from customers regarding mail delivery and postage.
- Keep accurate records of mail delivered and any undeliverable items.
- Load and unload parcels from delivery vehicles efficiently.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the USPS brand.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license (Commercial Class A or B is preferred for some routes).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status required.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to read maps.
