Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and periodicals to ensure timely distribution.
- Route Delivery: Deliver mail and packages to residential and business customers along an assigned route with accuracy and care.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by obtaining signatures, answering inquiries, and resolving delivery issues professionally.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all USPS safety regulations, traffic laws, and postal policies while on duty.
- Physical Stamina: Walk, bend, lift, and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Driver's License: A valid Driver's License is required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
- Lifting Ability: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.
- Residency: Must be willing to work in the El Paso, TX area.
