Responsibilities
- Enforce local and state laws while maintaining constitutional standards
- Respond to emergency calls and critical incidents within 8 minutes
- Conduct proactive patrols in high-priority neighborhoods
- Collaborate with community leaders for crime prevention initiatives
- Prepare detailed incident reports and testify in court proceedings
- Utilize body cameras and digital evidence systems
- Mentor junior officers during field training
Qualifications
- Valid California POST Basic Academy certification
- Minimum 2 years law enforcement experience
- CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months
- Valid Class C California driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background and polygraph examination
- Proficiency in modern law enforcement technologies
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required
