Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and public utilities
- Develop and implement public works policies aligned with city strategic goals
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies for project funding and compliance
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, and administrative staff
- Ensure projects adhere to budgetary constraints and federal/state regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance evaluations
- Prepare detailed reports for city council and stakeholder presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public works or municipal management
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana
- Proven expertise in infrastructure project management and budget oversight
- Strong knowledge of federal/state compliance regulations (FEMA, OSHA, etc.)
- Exceptional leadership and cross-departmental collaboration skills
- Experience with municipal software systems (GIS, SAP, etc.)
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations with tight deadlines
