Responsibilities
- Oversee Government Contracts: Manage and oversee complex government contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are strictly adhered to in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of new government policies to improve operational efficiency within the San Diego County infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for external agencies and internal departments, facilitating clear and effective communication regarding project milestones and budget allocations.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in our government operations and recommend corrective actions.
- Grant Management: Lead the lifecycle of grant applications, including writing proposals, budgeting, and reporting to federal and state funding bodies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior analysts and project managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in government administration, public policy analysis, or a related sector within San Diego or a major metropolitan area.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of California state government processes and the specific bureaucratic structures of San Diego County.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of government database systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certifications: PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- License: Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
