Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT infrastructure solutions for the county.
- Manage and troubleshoot high-level network security protocols and database management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver innovative software solutions.
- Maintain strict compliance with federal and state data privacy regulations and security standards.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff and interns.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to optimize operational efficiency.
- Respond to and resolve critical system outages with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis and infrastructure management.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, urgent environment.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
