Responsibilities
- Develop, curate, and schedule high-quality social media content specifically for Saturday and Sunday operations.
- Monitor social media channels for citizen inquiries, feedback, and emergency notifications to ensure rapid response.
- Analyze engagement metrics and audience data to optimize content strategies for government outreach.
- Craft press releases and digital announcements for city events and public service announcements.
- Collaborate with the internal communications team to maintain brand consistency across all platforms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and SEO best practices for government entities.
- Assist in the creation of graphics and multimedia assets for digital campaigns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Proficiency in HTML5 and basic web design principles is required.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
