Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations of server hardware, network cabling, and storage systems to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols (Firewalls, VPNs, Endpoints) in strict adherence to state and federal cybersecurity standards.
- System Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, performing system upgrades and patches during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, troubleshooting guides, and change logs.
- User Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to county staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering within a government or enterprise environment.
- Certifications: Active CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and Virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Clearance: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain necessary government security clearance.
