Key Duties:
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues for government staff.
- Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) across state facilities.
- Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity and security compliance.
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement and upgrade IT solutions efficiently.
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning exercises.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Valid Texas driver's license may be required for travel between sites.
